Accessibility
Built to be used.
We target WCAG 2.2 AA across the site. That means the catalog, cart, and checkout work with keyboards, screen readers, and high-contrast modes, not as an afterthought but as a build target.
What we commit to
- Keyboard-navigable. Every interactive element is reachable and usable without a mouse. Focus order follows visual order.
- Screen-reader friendly. Semantic headings, descriptive alt text on product imagery, ARIA labels where the role isn't obvious from markup.
- Readable contrast. Text and interactive elements clear AA minimums, and we avoid conveying meaning through color alone.
- Tap targets. Mobile controls measure at least 44×44 CSS pixels so they remain usable with less-precise pointing devices.
- Motion-respecting. Animation honors
prefers-reduced-motion; nothing decorative animates when the OS setting is on.
If we fall short
Accessibility is never “done”, and we know we won't catch every issue ourselves. If you hit a wall — anywhere, on any device — we want to know. Email info@alpenstock.com with the page you were on and what went wrong — we reply within one business day, and we fix the underlying issue, not just your case.
