Trail Credits earn on regular orders, not on gift card purchases. Redeeming Trail Credits is fine at checkout for any eligible order. This is standard; otherwise the program would fund itself.

Your tier is set by what you spend in a rolling 12-month window, not your lifetime total. Trailhead is where everyone starts. Reach Summit at $250 of spend in a year to earn 1.25× points and get free shipping over $50. Reach Alpine at $750 to earn 1.5× points, ship free on everything, and get a $5 reward each year you stay. If your 12-month spend dips, you move down a tier and earn at that rate again, but every Trail Credit you've already banked stays yours. These thresholds are our launch estimates; we'll recalibrate them as we learn how people actually shop.

Trail Credits stay with the account they were earned on; they're not transferable. If you want to give someone an order or a head start, a gift card or a paid order delivered to them is the path.
